Job Description


Synopsis of the Role

A resource who can lead a call with ISP's or other operators to resolve a critical incident . He has to understand the current infrastructure . So person should be an expert in troubleshooting and managing vendors in terms of escalations, incident management and also proactively monitor with support from internal Tools and can advise the team for any proactive methods to avoid critical incidents on network side.



Main Purpose (KRA):

1.         Lead troubleshooting calls for Critical incidents

2.         Experience in Managing global network Operations involving global vendors

3.        Lead the critical incidents to resolve asap

4.         Lead and take handover of projects from project delivery into operations

5.         Involve in Change management and review change before implementation

6.         Work and advice problem management team to get into the root cause ad resolve it permanently

7.         weekly update to leadership on work done 8. understand the environment and advice of corrective measures if there are any gaps.

9.  weekly/quarterly meeting with Operators to track their open points

10. run and track daily KPI's

11. Ensure that all equipment is under monitoring and is tracked

12. track open non-critical incidents and ensure that they are closed in timely manner 

13. Manage controls and track any open points


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • ? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related qualification
  • ? Certifications is a plus (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE)
  • ? Minimum 10+ years of working in a Network / Telecommunications role, with expert level experience with MPLS, SIP, IP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, etc technologies
  • ? 5+ years of management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent
  • ? Experience of working in a multi-cultural, virtual team, across multiple geographical regions
  • ? Ability to coordinate and direct activities across multiple teams
  • ? Commercial and technical service delivery management experience
  • ? 5+ years of Service and Operations Management experience in managing outsourced agreements
  • ? Excellence in execution through proper prioritization of projects and initiatives
  • ? Excellent customer focus and engagement skills
  • ? Ability to develop solutions within a complex operational environment
  • ? Strong project management skills and experience of coordinating of multiple, simultaneous complex tasks
  • ? Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • ? Advanced knowledge of technical/business environment and problem determination strategies
  • ? Develops and maintains standard operating procedure manual and processes used by the team
  • ? Provides appropriate budgets and reports for Network Operations activities to the Operations Director (e.g. headcount, financial, services availability, SLA compliance, capacity planning, etc)
  • ?Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • ? Considerable knowledge of network-based systems operations and maintenance, including a solid understanding of protocols and tools necessary for effective resolution of maintenance requests and tracking operational processes
