The head of marketing will be responsible for the most important function in the organisation - driving growth. You will manage the entire marketing team and be responsible for conceptualising/ executing all marketing campaigns while optimising for specific metrics. You will work closely with the founders to shape strategy and chalk out a growth plan.


Specific roles and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the marketing strategy for the company across all channels
  • Track, report and optimise key business metrics across different channels using a variety of tools
  • Generate leads from every possible source while controlling overall ROI. Come up with innovative ideas and growth hacks to drive more business
  • Segment the customer base and develop marketing strategies to engage with customers in different segments creatively
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging the customer base to offer new products
  • Manage the marketing budget in a cost-effective manner
  • Manage all SEO efforts to ensure constant improvement in organic traffic and organic business volumes
  • Optimise all paid campaigns across Adwords, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Youtube to get the max number of conversions at the best possible ROI
  • Understand our target audience perfectly and translate that knowledge to create the perfect targeting and messaging across all digital channels
  • Manage all direct marketing efforts - Come up with mailer/ SMS/ push notification campaigns and regularly engage the audience by sending broadcasts. Manage email deliverability to ensure high inbox landing rates
  • Devise complete social media strategy to drive actionable results from social media campaigns
  • Devise the entire content strategy to drive more drive more traffic and business - Work closely with the content writers. Proof read content pieces to ensure quality standards
  • Discover and manage relationships with influencers and other corporate alliance partners to generate more leads and increase brand visibilty
  • Find and manage relevant affiliate marketing agencies that can run performance driven campaigns to drive more business
  • Collect data/feedback from marketing campaigns and tailor strategies accordingly for maximum effectiveness
  • Work with the design team to make attractive and engaging creatives to supplement marketing campaigns
  • Take the lead in determining the right pricing/discounting level to maximize value
  • Conduct user research via focus groups, one-on-one interactions and surveys to understand customer behaviour to help shape marketing campaigns and provide inputs to product team
  • Create proper attribution models to optimise marketing spends across campaigns
  • Deep dive into user analytics and other data to understand customer behaviour and drive product/ campaign optimisations and perform conversion rate optimisations wherever possible
