This position with our client which provides a portfolio of analytics products and solutions to retail and consumer group organizations in India and internationally. 


ROLE: Pre-Sales - Retail Analytics

REPORTS TO: Vice President-Retail Analytics

EXPERIENCE: 10+ years

EDUCATION: Engineer or Bachelor of Sciences + MBA

LOCATION: Bangalore, India




Responsible for accelerating the sales pipeline and working with sales teams to acquire new customers

Lead product demonstrations, customer workshops to understand requirements and articulate portfolio fitment

Lead customer pitches, participate in pre-sales conversations, customer proposals

Train sales & inside sales teams on product capability, competitive value proposition, and market trends


Own go-to-market motions for Retail Analytics portfolio

Be the product and domain Subject Matter Expert for field sales teams, develop demand generation plans and drive opportunities down the sales funnel

Identify target markets, opportunity sizing, competitive value proposition

Create sales assets to drive GTM solution pitches, demo scripts, battle cards, tele-sales scripts, e-mail content

Create marketing assets to support GTM motions website content, product brochures, white papers, competitive value propositions, ROI calculators


Be the company’s spokesperson at industry conferences & events, evangelize the portfolio with industry analysts




Possess 6-10 years of overall experience in Pre-sales for BI / Retail analytics solution within Retail / CPG organizations

Expertise in BI and Analytics Tools, SAS, SPSS, Micro Strategy etc and Excel Solver

Must possess a Graduate Degree in Engineering or Sciences and an Advanced Degree in Management

Understanding of the BI and Analytics market and competitive landscape

Experience in Pricing / assortment / Inventory / merchandise planning software applications

Proven ability to work in a global team environment

Strong executive presence, communication skills
